Davis Instruments Vantage Vue Professional Weather Station, part number 6242EU. This is the new version of the full-featured Vantage Pro 2 weather station, released in 2023. This new version features a modern, touch-sensitive receiver console called Weatherlink.

The connection between the outdoor sensors (ISS) and the console is via radio waves on the frequency 868.0 - 868.6 MHz with a range of up to 300 metres. The console is equipped with a large touch screen and can be mounted on a wall or placed on a table or shelf.

The WeatherLink console combines all the functionalities of the old Vantage Pro 2 consoles and the WeatherLink Live display-less datalogger. It lets you see at a glance the current condition of your sensors suite (including main VP2 and Vantage Vue sensor suites, Airlinks, temperature substations), visualize charts and tables of the past day, month, or year, configure alerts, etc. It can be linked to your Weatherlink.com account to upload your data to the Weatherlink cloud by Wi-FI.

The ISS is compact and robust and is installed on the end of a mast (tube) with a diameter of 30 to 50 mm. It is completely self-contained. A dual sensor for measuring outdoor temperature and humidity is placed in a solar radiation shelter. The rain gauge is equipped with a tilting bucket system to measure rainfall. The wind vane anemometer cannot be disconnected from the ISS.

The 6357OV sensor suite is used in this 6242EU complete weather station model. Other models are available with the Vantage Pro 2 Plus sensor suites (with or without UV sensors and pyranometer).

The Davis Instruments Vantage Vue 6242EU weather station comes with:

  • WeatherLink console and power supply.
  • Outdoor Sensor Suite (ISS). (Lithium 3V CR123 battery backup not included)
  • A mounting kit (mast not supplied)

And allows to measure:

  • Indoor temperature - Resolution 0,1°C.
  • Outdoor temperature - Resolution 0.1°C.
  • Indoor humidity - Resolution: 1%.
  • Outdoor humidity - Resolution: 1%.
  • Atmospheric pressure - Resolution: 0.1 hPa.
  • Heat index - Resolution 1°C.
  • Dew point - Resolution 1°C.
  • Precipitation - Resolution 0.25 mm.
  • Feeling temperature - Resolution 1°C.
  • Wind speed from 3 to 322 Km/h - Resolution 1 Km/h.
  • Wind direction - Resolution 1°.

Connect up to 8 weather stations simultaneously

Another much anticipated new feature, WeatherLInk Wifi gives you the ability to receive data from up to 8 transmitters simultaneously (8 Vantage Pro 2 or Vantage Vue sensor suites or 8 transmitters with a choice of sensors, etc.). Whereas today it was only possible to remote the anemometer from the sensor suite, you can now remote all sensors independently of each other. With the 6332OV transmitter (e.g. remote anemometer) or the 6331EU transmitter (power supply version), you can multiply the number of measurement points up to 8. Note also that it is possible to transmit up to 8 agricultural auxiliary stations 6345OV. In any case, you can have a maximum of 8 measuring points.

Available sensor suites:

  • Vantage Vue 6357OV (included with this weather station)
  • Vantage Pro 2 6322OV
  • Vantage Pro 2 with active ventilation 6323OV
  • GroWeather 6820OV
  • GroWeather with active ventilation 6325OV
  • Vantage Pro 2 Plus 6327OV
  • Vantage Pro 2 Plus with active ventilation 6328OV

Radio transmitters :

  • Transmitter with solar power 6332OV (e.g. anemometer remote)
  • Transmitter with AC power supply 6331EU
  • Transmitter with agricultural auxillary station 6345OV

Sensors available for 6332OV or 6331EU transmitters:

  • Anemometer-Girouette 6410
  • Rain gauge 6463M or 6465M
  • UV Sensor 6490
  • Pyranometer 6450
  • Temperature and humidity sensor under shelter 6830 or under ventilated shelter 6832
  • Temperature sensor for measurement in air, water or soil: stainless steel sensor 6475 or plastic sensor 6477

Sensors available for 6345OV transmitter:

  • Temperature probe for measurement in air, water or soil 6470
  • Soil tensiometer probe (Watermark) 6440
  • 6440 Foliage Moisture Sensor

A weather shopping service: MétéoData

In order to satisfy the demands of our private and professional customers, we have developed a complementary data consultation platform to weatherlink.com: MétéoData. It allows you to store your weather station archives in an unlimited way and to export them in spreadsheet format.

WeatherLink.com's Pro or Pro+ subscription is not necessary for archiving your data. However, in the event of an internet outage and the absence of data communication on weatherlink.com, we are only able to complete your archive for owners of Pro or Pro+ subscriptions.

Registration to our platform is free by default. A subscription is available for professionals to access decision support tools and customised reports.
