The KTL-250 Anemometer Modbus Gateway with Alarm allows wind speed and direction to be measured with a Davis Instruments 7911 or 6410 Anemometer, without the need for the entire weather station. Wind speed and direction monitoring can be done via analogue retransmission channels with 0-5 V, 1-5 V, 0-20 mA or 4-20 mA outputs.

The KTL-250 Modbus interface with alarm allows wind speed and direction to be measured with a Davis Instruments 7911 or 6410 anemometer without the need for an entire weather station.

Davis Instruments 7911 or 6410 anemometer, without the need for the entire weather station. Wind speed and direction monitoring can be done via analogue re-transmission channels with 0-5 V, 1-5 V, 0-20 mA or 4-20 mA outputs. This model has a backlit LCD display.   In addition to monitoring speed and direction, 2 alarm relays can be programmed to activate at a certain wind speed or direction, or a combination of both. Both variables can also be monitored using the Modbus protocol with a USB or RS485 2-wire connection.   The settings are made using the DIP switches or Modbus protocol and software available for download from the manufacturer's website (see operating instructions).

IMPORTANT: The KTL-250 requires the KTL-250 Configurator with a USB cable for configuration. Available here: KTL-250 Software

Advantages:

  • Connects with a Davis Instruments 7911 or 6410 anemometer to monitor wind speed and direction
  • Interface to PLCs and other controllers with Modbus protocol and using 4-20 mA or 0-5 V signals
  • Generates alarms based on wind speed and direction
  • Communication via USB or RS485 2-wire connection
