EnviroMonitor Nodes

The Nodes allow different Davis Instruments or third party sensors to be placed at different locations on a farm for example. They can measure a wide range of weather parameters such as temperature, humidity, precipitation, leaf wetness, soil moisture, pressure and many more. (See list below and attached photo)

These Nodes are connected to a mesh network and transmit sensor data between Nodes and then to an EnviroMonitor Gateway (stand-alone and 4G connected version) or to an IP Gateway (connected to an existing internet connection). Each Node is delivered in a stand-alone, solar-powered box, with an accessory kit for installation. Each EnviroMonitor network can host 20 Nodes. The Nodes communicate with each other, ensuring total network flexibility across obstacles and distances.

The following sensors can be present on a Node (in addition to the usual sensors present on the Vantage Pro 2):

• Temperature/humidity
• Rainfall
• Leaf wetness
• Pressure switches
• Pressure sensors
• Flow meters
• Water Level

You can connect up to 4 sensors per Node and each Node can have a maximum distance of 1200 m from the nearest Node (visually, 200 to 800 m otherwise).

Note: To connect a Davis Instruments sensor with an RJ11 terminated cable, you will need an RJ11 Adapter for Nodes (Ref 6860).

Configuration of the Node and the entire Enviromonitor system is done via your smartphone using a Bluetooth connection.
