Davis Intruments complete weather station, part number 6162CEU. The connection between the outdoor sensors (ISS) and the console is made with a 30 meter long cable. The console has a large backlit LCD display and can be mounted on a wall or placed on a table or shelf. The console allows the user to view real-time weather conditions, extremes (max and min), and graphs of the various variables. It is also possible to set alarms and connect the console to a computer (with the WeatherLink interface not included).

The ISS is very robust and can be mounted on a mast (tube) or on a wooden pole. A dual sensor for measuring outdoor temperature and humidity is placed in a standardised radiation shelter. The rain gauge is equipped with a tipping bucket system for measuring precipitation and bird spikes. The wind vane anemometer can be detached from the ISS and installed on a roof, for example, with its 12-metre cable. The ISS is equipped with a UV sensor to measure the UV index and a pyranometer to measure solar radiation and evapotranspiration.

With a transmission interval of 2.25 seconds, the anemometer can easily record the strongest wind gusts.
